The collection comes from a great friend of Heritage Auctions who’s wines cellar organization and overall condition was near perfection. This consignment boasts over 100 Bordeaux OWCs stored in a temp-controlled, subterranean cellar that were kept in-the-dark and undisturbed for decades.
"This is one of the great wines of the vintage... The wine has a dense bluish/purple color and a beautiful nose of incense, melted asphalt, and creme de cassis as well as hints of new saddle leather and licorice. It is superbly concentrated and very pure, with excellent texture and opulence." (97 pts. Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #189, June 2010)
