Toward the end of the 1980s, Don Bryant bought a 13 acre vineyard, near the banks of Lake Hennessy. He started planting Cabernet Sauvignon vines and soon after the former St. Louis business man produced his first bottle of wine. Bryant Family Vineyard released its very first vintage in 1992, eventually receiving critical acclaim. They are now recognized around the world as a producer of fine quality wines.
The winery also employs world-renowned wine consultant Michel Rolland, well-reputed vineyard manager David Abreu, and experienced winemaker Marc Gagnon. Each one was chosen for their passion, their commitment to excellence in winemaking and their dedication to the Bryant label. Famed wine critic Robert Parker, Jr. called Bryant "a wine of world-class quality."
Their winemaking legacy is a “who’s who” of Napa, including long time stars like Helen Turley, Mark Aubert and Philippe Melka, as well as fast rising starts like Ross Wallace, Helen Keplinger, and Todd Alexander.
The 1997 Bryant Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is considered one of their best wines to date, and arguably one of the greatest Napa Cabernets ever made.
