Description

Puligny Montrachet 2004
Les Enseigneres, Coche-Dury
Bottle (2)

"An exceptionally fresh and still quite youthful nose speaks primarily of floral and ripe citrus fruit aromas and, unusually for the vintage, there is no reduction as is the case with the '04 Chevalières (see herein). There is good vibrancy and volume to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that display a bit more elegance and finesse than is usual for this wine, all wrapped in a long, attractively dry and satisfying finish. While this will clearly be capable aging longer, for my taste it has arrived at its peak though it should easily hold for up to another decade. I have tried this twice in the last two years with almost identical notes." (92 pts. Allen Meadows, Burghound, Nov. 2013)
