"As I have repeatedly noted in recent vintages, at one time the Demoiselles was consistently the best wine chez Jadot, red or white. I find it interesting that now there is competition from the Montrachet in recent years as well as the Musigny and the good news for Jadot fans is that it's not because the Demoiselles has somehow declined but rather that its rarified siblings have raised their respective games, which is all to the good. As to the wine, as all great examples of Montrachet ultimately reflect, this is almost a blend of the Bâtard and the Chevalier with most of the elegance and minerality of the Chevalier allied with all of the power of the Bâtard to create a textured, complex and huge wine that is perhaps not quite as refined as the Chevy but in terms of sheer force and muscle, it's no contest. A choice and a privileged choice of the highest quality." (95 pts. Allen Meadows, Burghound, Mar. 2010)
