Description

Montrachet 2001
J. Prieur
Bottle (5)
"Rich, full, powerful, wonderfully regal and complex aromas of limestone, white flowers and a ripe peach and pear compote lead to firmly structured, intense and dense flavors that display plenty of sappy extract and palate staining length. Surprisingly, this is bigger and more elegant than the Chevalier with plenty of underlying material. In short, this is a quality effort for the vintage crafted in a more forward style than usual." (91pts, Allen Meadows, BurgHound #15)
