DescriptionCorton Charlemagne 1994
"Moderately golden color. There is almost no tropical character to the still fresh if fully mature aromas of apple, pear, floral hints and wet stone. The exceptionally rich, even creamy full-bodied and seductively textured flavors that possess fine concentration on the palate coating finish where a note of bitter lemon surfaces. Despite the impressive volume this is not really a powerful wine, indeed the strikingly long finish is almost delicate. What is especially impressive is just how fresh this is in the context of the vintage and as such it should continue to drink well for at least another decade." (93 pts. Allen Meadows, Burghound, Sept. 2014)
