"A background note of wood mixes with ripe citrus and airy white flower aromas that are liberally sprinkled with wet stone notes that continue onto the rich, fleshy and mouth coating large-bodied and dense flavors that brim with a fine minerality on the explosive finish. Like a number of wines in the range, 2009 is not the most elegant of vintages for this storied wine but it is most impressive all the same." (93 pts. Allen Meadows, Burghound #47, June 2012)
