"As it usually is chez Sauzet, this is a tuxedo to the suit and tie of the Bâtard with finesse, minerality and elegance to burn plus fine underlying sap and a crystalline purity that is rigorous yet utterly seductive for those who admire that inimitable quality of rolling liquid rocks around in the mouth. Yet for the first time in a number of vintages, the Bâtard has more underlying material. Still, this is a very impressive wine that will require a full 6 or 7 years to really be in full song."
