Property of a San Francisco Bay Area family. The late patriarch, an accomplished periodontist, spent years acquiring all of his chief favorites and built a custom home temperature- and humidity-controlled cellar for the collection. These lots are fantastic drinkers with awesome provenance.
“There is an interesting note of petrol to the ripe, fresh and overtly exotic aromas of honeysuckle and dried yellow fruit scents. The ultra-seductive big-bodied flavors are thick and lavish as there is a seemingly endless reserve of palate coating dry extract, all wrapped in a complex and impressively long finish. Like the Caillerets this is certainly an imposing example of Bâtard but not one that I would describe as typical.” (92 pts. Allen Meadows, Burghound, June 2014)
