“As was the case when I originally reviewed this from barrel there is still plenty of wood framing the ripe and fresh aromas of apricot, white peach, pear and soft floral aromas. There is good intensity to the opulent and succulent broad-shouldered flavors that possess imposing size, weight and power while culminating in an extract-rich and palate staining finish. As I also noted in my original review I would like to see a bit more depth though there is so much underlying material that it may very well develop with age. In sum this is presently a bit woody for my taste but the wine is not without considerable development potential, particularly in magnum format.” (91 pts. Allen Meadows, Burghound, Nov. 2014)
