"For the first 20 minutes this was reticent but with air a ripe and elegant nose of white flower, spice hints and a touch of smoke framed by a deft touch of wood influence introduces big, rich and sweet flavors that are relatively refined and quite pure, supported by good levels of dry extract and a wonderfully long finish that is defined by the firm core of ripe acidity. This is an elegant wine by the usual standards of Bâtard and the fine balance will permit it to age well." (92pts Allen Meadows, Burghound #27, July 2007)
