Description

Dominio de Pingus Ribera del Duero 2007
Amelia
Bottle (1)

"The 2007 Amelia is a single barrel cuvee made from a special parcel of 100+-year-old Tempranillo vines. It was aged for 18 months in a new Darnajou barrel. Purple-colored, it proffers a compelling bouquet of sandalwood, mineral, Asian spices, truffle, black currant, and blackberry. On the palate it has superb volume, intensity, complexity, and density. Savory, suave, and pleasure-bent, it merits an additional 6-8 years of cellaring. This lengthy, pure offering will offer a drinking window extending from 2016 to 2037." (97 pts. Jay S. Miller, Wine Advocate #188, Apr. 2010)
