"The 1985 reveals more depth of fruit and length when compared to the 1983. It is a fat, soft, lush wine with gobs of licorice, black pepper, and cassis fruit. Still a dense, dark purple color with no amber, this wine is about as ripe and round as Cornas gets. It is an unctuous, gorgeous Cornas that will provide tantalizing drinking young, but will also keep." (90 pts. Robert Parker, Rhone Book, Dec. 1996)
