The Perfect Arc Cellar. This is one of those rare collections that touches upon all the most beautiful parts of the wine growing world, both deep and broad in its scope. Most every wine was purchased on release and stored in an impeccable temperature and humidity-controlled facility.
“Incredibly for a 20-year-old villages, there was no bricking and consistent with the color there was no trace of sous-bois either, something that cannot be said for 90% of the grands crus today from the ’92 vintage. Indeed, if I hadn’t been directly involved in the purchase of a parcel of ’92 Jayer in 1994 from Martine Saunier (that included this wine), I might very well have been suspicious. As to the palate impression, there was that really lovely inner-mouth perfume that seduces along with excellent balance, overall depth and fine length. The underlying structure is fully resolved and this is drinking perfectly yet should continue to do so for years to come.
