"This is the only wine in the range of 2013s to display any appreciable amount of wood influence though it easily allows the intensely spicy and floral-suffused aromas of various dark berries, in particular cassis and plum, to shine. The distinctly cool and admirably pure flavors exude plenty of minerality on the velvety, mouth coating and resolutely persistent finish that is compact, concentrated, brooding and backward but a touch less austere than it usually is."
