"An attractively floral-suffused nose speaks mostly of earthy red currant and plum scents. There is excellent underlying tension if only average density to the beautifully detailed and tautly muscular flavors that firm up noticeably on the powerful finish that possess first-rate depth and persistence. While not exactly rustic, this would be fairly described as robust and serious and should age effortlessly as any competent example of Chaffots does." (91–94 pts.
