“Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, the 2014 Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru from Domaine Tawse is more austere than Faiveley's, yet there is clearly plenty of fruit tightly coiled up in this wine, perhaps with some whole bunch addition lending tertiary notes. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and a fine line of acidity, a little rough around the edges at the moment, but it has a firm backbone on the finish and the density of fruit to suggest that this is a long-term prospect.” (94 pts.
