"A notably ripe nose of still almost completely primary dark berry fruit, earth and game scents is trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is outstanding volume, richness and mid-palate concentration to the powerful big-bodied flavors that display a discreet minerality on the well-muscled and explosively long if slightly warm finish that coats the mouth. This is nowhere near ready, indeed it is probably at least a decade away from its peak and I would very much advise continued patience." (93 pts. Allen Meadows, Burghound, Apr. 2017)
