"The 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux Saint-Jacques 1er Cru has a gorgeous, pure bouquet with perfumed raspberry, cranberry and pomegranate aromas that are beautifully entwined with the oak. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, well-judged acidity and whilst there is a patina of oak to be assimilated, it feels as if it is singing from the same hymn sheet as the fruit.
