Les Rouges du Bas, Meo-Camuzet
"An all but invisible touch of wood influence sets off extravagantly spicy and perfumed red black cherry aromas and Asian-style tea scents. There is excellent richness to the powerful, dense, detailed and sappy flavors that possess plenty of dry extract that coats the palate on the beautifully persistent and still moderately firm finish. Like many of the better 2002s this is clearly still on the way up and while it's not so far away that it couldn't be enjoyed now with air, I would be inclined to give this another 5 to 7 years of cellar time first." (93 pts. Allen Meadows, Burghound, Oct. 2015)
