"Healthy dark red. A hint of dried herbs on the discreet nose, which conveys an impression of medicinal reserve. Plush, smooth, sweet and impressively concentrated, showing a complicating savory quality to its flavors of red and black cherry and spices. Very dense, flavorful wine with the stuffing to support its big, building tannins. Finishes with a distinct sweetness." (92-94 pts. Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan. 2017)
"An intensely floral nose gathers aromas of ripe red currant, raspberry, forest floor and plenty of warm earth nuances. There is an excellent sense of underlying tension to the muscular, intense and impressively concentrated broad-shouldered flavors that deliver first-rate depth and length on the extremely firm finale. 2015 was an excellent vintage in general for Clos de Vougeot and this is one more very fine example."
