"This is still quite deeply colored with remarkably youthful aromas of earth, game and spice hints along with now partially mature dark berry fruit notes. The big-bodied and impressively scaled flavors brim with dry extract and still possess ample supporting tannins on the hugely long and palate coating finish. This is no model of finesse or elegance but it is a robust and muscular Clos de Vougeot that is still on its way up so for my taste, I would continue to cellar it for up to another decade." (93 pts.
