"Wonderfully complex nose of spice, earth, crushed black fruit followed by rich, velvety, opulent, beautifully balanced flavors of power, depth, style and grace all culminating in a stunningly long finish. There is not necessarily a lot of structure to the wine, and what structure exists is completely buried, but the balance is so good that this should age well for years. A really impressive effort that is really quite approachable now though it will clearly benefit from additional cellar time." (93pts Allen Meadows, Burghound #13, Jan 2004)
