"The 1990 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has appeared three or four times and testifies some bottle variation. This has a more fruit-driven bouquet compared to other vintages with copious raspberry and wild strawberry scents, pressed rose petal and orange pith, veins of blue fruit emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with plenty of red fruit, texturally showing more corpulence than the 1988 or 1993, traces of iodine towards the finish and like before, orange de sanguine lingering on the aftertaste.
