"Explosively fresh and nuanced red fruit aromas cut with earth and underbrush lead to relatively fine, intense and focused flavors of real breed and class, not to mention impressive length. I very much like the style here and while this is by no means a big Chambertin, it is very pretty and elegant. "This should prove to be one of the great successes of the vintage. The dark ruby/purple color is followed by an unevolved nose that smells like a barrel sample given its big, grapy, jammy black fruit character intertwined with aromas of prunes, damp earth, spices, and meat.
