"The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Fornace is a beautiful expression with an impressive level of confidence and individuality. The wine's color is a bit darker compared to its peers and its concentration is similarly thicker. But that extra padding does not take away from the inner elegance and finesse displayed here. Aromas embrace red rose petal, licorice, grilled herb and forest floor. The oak rendering is evident but not obvious: Dark smoke, crushed granite and ash give the wine a savory side." (96 pts.
