"Icardi’s 2004 Barolo Parej is a voluptuous wine with sweet, open aromatics that lead to a generous expression of floral red fruits, plums, spices and minerals. The tannins are refined and the wine shows lovely overall balance. In 2004 the French oak seems to be toned down relative to past recent vintages, which gives the wine a clarity that hasn’t always been present." (91 pts. Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate, Oct. 2008)
