Description

White Muscat 1938
Livadia, Massandra
Bottle (6)
The nose has a bit of volatile acidity masking the typical aromatics of Livadia White Muscat. Aeration actually brings out the volatility so I've had to be quite gentle in trying to analyze the bouquet and profile, which is tough. The wine isn't subtle. The palate is maple-soaked marzipan with a little bit of blueberry and just a little bit of herbal quality. Nice, elegant, but simple. The finish is a little bit cloying. (88pts FCM)
