From the Cellar of a Devoted Collector and Physician Also featured in our October signature sale, this collection features gems from a longtime New York based collector. A passionate admirer of California wines, he acquired many of his bottles directly from the wineries, ensuring flawless provenance. Each bottle has been carefully preserved in temperature- and humidity-controlled storage, maintaining their exceptional condition.
"The 2018 Grenache Eleven Confessions Vineyard is a barrel selection and is composed of 83.7% Grenache, 9.1% Syrah, 6% Petite Sirah and 1.2% Viognier. It was fermented with 45% whole clusters and matured for about 38 months in 52% new French oak barrels and demi-muids. It has a deep ruby-purple color and slowly opening scents of Morello cherries, coffee beans, licorice, thyme, tea leaves and forest floor. The full-bodied palate is powerful yet energetic, offering bursts of juicy acidity and grainy tannins to counter its concentrated fruits. After spending some time in the glass, the long finish blossoms to a kaleidoscope of spicy, floral accents, suggesting this may require more bottle time than some of the other wines in this lineup before reaching its peak." For example, if you bid on a lot during Normal Bidding, you could participate during Extended Bidding for that lot, but not on lots you did not bid on previously. If a bid was placed at 6:03, the new end time for that lot would become 6:08. If no other bids were placed before 6:08, the lot would close. If you are the high bidder on a lot, changing your bid will not extend the bidding during the 5 Minute Ending phase (only a bid from another bidder will extend bidding). If you are the only bidder at 6 PM, you will automatically win the lot at 6:05. Important: After normal bidding ends, you must be signed-on to the Heritage site to see the bidding option on lots where you qualify for extended bidding and you must be on an individual lot page to reflect the accurate time remaining for that particular lot.
