    Heitz Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon 1999
    Martha's Vineyard
    Bottle (12)

"Bright medium ruby. Cool, fresh scents of blueberry, blackberry and mint lifted by a violet topnote. A juicy, penetrating midweight with lovely inner-mouth floral/minty lift to its dark berry flavors. No easy sweetness or fleshiness here but not hard either. In fact, this wine delivers a lovely combination of density and suavity. Finishes savory, firmly tannic and long, with no rough edges. This still has the energy to gain in depth with further bottling aging." (91 pts. Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2019)
