Dominus Estate 19952lnl
Bottle (6)
Property of a prominent Texas attorney, this meticulously assembled cellar showcases top vintages from benchmark producers, maintained in high-end professional storage and presented here as a select offering from a far more extensive collection, with impeccable provenance. Bid with confidence.
"The 1995 Dominus (6,000 cases produced from a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, and 4% Merlot) is a ripe, plummy, supple, expansively-flavored wine with copious quantities of black currant fruit. Full-bodied and low in acidity, it possesses exceptional concentration and purity." (93 pts. Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, Dec. 1997)
"A dark garnet core, much more opaque than I was expecting. The nose soars from the glass: meaty, savoury, touches of peppermint lacing the ripe blackberry fruit. Great definition. The palate is full-bodied with a soft entry, superb structure with Asian spice, white pepper. It does actually remind me of a Pomerol towards the off-dry finish. Great length and vigour: a wine with a long, long future ahead. Drink 2014-2030+" (93 pts. Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, July 1999)
