Description

Torbreck Shiraz 2006
The Laird
4owc
Bottle (12)

A few unsold lots from The Lawrence Collection. These spectacular wines exhibit excellent color, though a few fills might be a little shy. We have sold over $3M of wine to date from this extraordinary collection, which is stored underground in the most precise of scientifically-dictated storage conditions.

"Deep garnet colored, the 2006 The Laird offers a multi-faceted nose of ripe black berries, blueberry preserves and kirsch aromas with an underlying perfume of baking spices, lavender, cinnamon stick and cloves plus some savory / earthy nuances, including bacon, black tea, tobacco and forest floor. The palate is full bodied and densely packed with fruit, savory and earth flavors while supported by a firm level of very fine-grained tannins and refreshing acidity. It finishes very long and while already incredibly complex, promises a lot more to come." (99 pts. Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate, Dec. 2011)

"This shows chocolate berry. Full and flavorful. Chewy and rich with lots of berry and cherry character. Old school but on it." (93 pts. James Suckling, July 2017)
