DescriptionChris Ringland Shiraz 1999
Provenance: The following wines are the property of a Southern California gentleman who is also a frequent consignor to several of our other categories. Wines removed from 3 separate temperature controlled professional facilities.
"From a vineyard planted in 1910, its inky/purple color is accompanied by aromas of lavender, lard, smoke, licorice, blackberries, cassis, espresso roast, chocolate, and pepper. Full-bodied, slightly less voluminous than the perfect 1998, with an unctuous texture, sweet tannin, and a 70+ second finish, this magnificent, still young Shiraz should be accessible in 3-5 years, and last for two decades." (98pts Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #155, Oct 2004)
Estimate: $900 - $1,200.
