1988 Roumier Amoureuses Boosts Heritage Auctions’ Fine & Rare Wine Auction Above $3 Million

DRC among wineries rebounding with stronger winter demand
DALLAS, Texas (December 18, 2019) — Multiple bidders pursued a rare Chambolle Musigny 1988 Les Amoureuses, G. Roumier Bottle (10) until it closed at $28,290 to claim top-lot honors Heritage Auctions' Fine & Rare Wine Auction Dec. 6-8 in Beverly Hills. The top lot helped to lead the final total for the sale to $3,068,125.

"The wine market has proven robust at the top, and DRC, among others, has bounced back after a surprisingly modest September,” Heritage Auctions Fine and Rare Wine Senior Director Frank Martell said. "We have not yet seen a surge in buying related to tariffs, but it is something that is at the forefront of many a bidder's plans for 2020.”
