Description

Kagor 1933
Ayu-Dag, Massandra
Bottle (6)
Mahogany color. Slightly dusty red fruit nose of sweet raspberry and cassis. Though sweet, it isn't so much jammy or overripe anymore, but rather in a very good place of mature but clean expression. Touches of menthol and leather on the nose are also hinted on the palate. This opens with acidity that quickly disappears leaving first maple syrup sweetness, then transitioning to mature but clean red fruit. The finish is mild but long leaving a fair bit of syrupy sweetness and fresh alcohol lining the cheeks. (93pts FCM)
