"A decidedly reticent nose speaks of a blend of spicy red and dark berries, exotic green tea, violet and lilac. There is superb detail to the almost painfully intense and pungently mineral-driven large-scaled flavors that possess a saline character on the refreshing yet quite serious finish that seems to go on and on. I very much like the sense of focused power the robust but by no means rustic finish displays though it does make it crystal clear that this is very much built-to-age. Over the past 10 years the quality of the RSV seems to have largely caught up to the Riche but in 2021, that does not appear to be the case as this is much, much more complex." (96 pts.
