Description
Echezeaux 2010Jayer-Gilles
Bottle (2)
A Distinguished Collection from a Prominent Wine Figure Assembled by a respected voice within the wine industry, this collection showcases the most iconic producers from around the globe. With a discerning focus on provenance, the collector has secured each bottle from only the most trusted sources: the Petrus, featured in the October Signature sale was acquired directly from the château, while the remaining treasures were purchased through esteemed auction houses and top retail. Since acquisition, all wines have been maintained in professional, temperature- and humidity-controlled storage, ensuring their pristine condition.
“Discreet wood influence does not materially detract from the very spicy cassis, plum, black berry and red pinot fruit liqueur aromas where there are background whiffs of spices and pungent earth. The rich, velvety and broad flavors brim with dry extract that also imparts a textured and highly seductive mouth feel to the powerfully long and explosively intense finish. This built-to-age beauty is also most impressive.” (92–94 pts. Allen Meadows, Burghound, June 2012)
Estimate: $400 - $500.
