"Very good bright red. Flamboyant nose combines red fruit, smoke, coffee, cinnamon and oak spices; shows an intriguing burnt note. Silky, full and sweet; rather than elegant but rich, with lovely clarity of flavor. Long, strong finish, with furry tannins." (91 Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, March 1998)
