"This hadn't come my way since 2004 yet despite being from a very average red burg vintage, it's holding in remarkably well with its expressive nose that has gone fully tertiary in character with notes of the sauvage, leather and soft spice wisps lurking in the background. There is good richness and still good verve to the medium weight flavors that offer fine persistence on the ever-so-slightly lean finish. While long since fully mature, this is still drinking well though I would suggest looking for reasons to drink up." (92 pts. Allen Meadows, Burghound, March 2023)
