Description

Echezeaux 2001
E. Rouget
1lscl, 2spc
Bottle (6)

The Perfect Arc Cellar. This is one of those rare collections that touches upon all the most beautiful parts of the wine growing world, both deep and broad in its scope. Most every wine was purchased on release and stored in an impeccable temperature and humidity-controlled facility.

"This closely resembles the style of the Beaux Monts with its lighter ruby color and ultra elegant pinot spice aromas followed by medium weight, pure, complex, quite refined flavors and a creamy, slightly toasty finish. Relatively light by the standards of many vintages of this wine but it is so elegant that is it hard to fault." (89-91 pts. Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jan. 2003)

“Medium red. Smoky red fruits, spices and smoked meat on the perfumed nose. Juicy, scented and precise, with rather delicate red berry and spice flavors. Persistent, firm and subtle on the aftertaste.” (90+ pts. Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, March 2003)
