"Reticent nose hints at red fruit liqueur and marzipan. Sweet on entry, then quite firm in the middle, with fresh acids giving definition and penetration to this rather inexpressive wine. Today this is less rich and sweet than the Barbaresco Asili, but there's enticing ripeness here and excellent lift on the firmly tannic finish." (91+ pts. Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Nov. 2007)
