Description

Chambertin 1969
Maison Leroy
1(4cm), 1lscl, 1scc, excellent color, possibly original release
Bottle (2)

"A cool, pure and relatively reserved nose offers up notes of sous bois, spice and obvious minerality that is also picked up by the naturally sweet, delicious and nicely intense flavors that still possess good punch and power though like many '69s at this point in their evolution are starting to thin out just a touch on the otherwise impressively long finish. This is really quite lovely and while this has reached full maturity, there is no rush to drink up." (91 pts. Allen Meadows, Burghound, May 2008)
