"Here the aromas are more elegant and more complex but not necessarily riper with high-toned red pinot fruit and an attractive dried herb note that sits atop earthy yet fine and refined medium full flavors that deliver outstanding detail and delineation. This is a classically styled wine with prominent but ripe acidity and dusty tannins that have just enough phenolic maturity. This will be one of the more elegant and refined vintages of Clos des Lambrays and the balance is such that it should age well over the moderate term." (90pts Allen Meadows, Burghound #25, Jan 2007)
