Colgin Red 2015
Cariad
owc
Bottle (3)

Property from the cellar of a multi-discipline Heritage favorite! Most wines purchased winery-direct, all kept in professional temperature and humidity controlled facility.

"The 2015 Proprietary Red Cariad is a blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot, mostly Madrona fruit from the David Abreu-owned vineyard. This is a non-estate wine, but incredibly rich because it comes from some of the best terroirs in Napa. The wine is very Pauillac-like in 2015, with notes of cedar wood, graphite, blackcurrant, licorice and chocolate. With an inky purple color like its siblings, the wine has a full-bodied mouthfeel, sweet tannin and a long, long finish. A touch of espresso roast also emerges in this seamless classic that will drink well early, but evolve for 25-35 years." (96-100 pts. Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #228, Dec. 2016)
