Description

B.V. Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 1970
Georges de Latour
5bn, 5ts, 2vhs, 12lbsl, 12lwrl
Bottle (12)

"The 1970 has always been considered one of the great B.V. Private Reserves. Well-stored bottles continue to taste brilliantly... This wine performed spectacularly in this recent blind tasting (February, 1995), revealing a huge, complex bouquet of overripe, sweet, jammy, pruny fruit, cedar, herbs, spices, and fruitcake. Fat and rich, with unctuously-textured, chewy, expansive flavors, and a full-bodied finish, it was all this great wine can be." (93 pts. Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, June 1995)
