The Cellar Beneath II: A Second Descent into One of Philadelphia’s Most Meticulously Built Cellars. This second tranche returns to the same carefully engineered, temperature-controlled vault highlighting pristinely stored OWC Bordeaux.
“The first vintage produced from start to finish under the Bouygues family's ownership (they acquired the property in May 2006), the 2007 Montrose offers up attractive aromas of cassis, tobacco leaf, loamy soil and oak vanillin, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate that's supple, pure and velvety. This is far from my favorite Médoc vintage, but Montrose is clearly one of the stars.” (91 pts. William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Dec. 2023)
