"Made of 100% Syrah aged 18 months in 70% new French oak, the 2016 Syrah Fracture is deep garnet-purple colored, opening with exuberant notes of crushed blackberries, black cherries and cassis with hints of asphalt, star anise, truffles and mossy bark. Full, firm and with a rock-solid frame of grainy tannins, it has tons of taut, muscular fruit, finishing long and mineral tinged." (95+ pts. Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate, Oct. 2018)
