"A heady and wonderfully perfumed nose of still largely primary fruit notes leads to quite dense and still completely fresh flavors of simply unbelievable depth and length. All the more remarkable is how fresh and young this remains with only hints of secondary notes to be found and the velvety finish goes on and on. I could taste this the next day and the ethereal nose is simply haunting and it's frankly difficult to really do justice to the sheer breadth of expression. A wine for the ages and one that should live 25 years, something very few '85s can aspire to." (97pts Allen Meadows, Burghound #33, Jan 2009)
