"Still very deeply colored. Amazingly at 16 years of age, even given the large format bottling, the very ripe dark berry fruit and spice-inflected nose remains completely primary. The velvety, immensely concentrated and overtly powerful large-scaled flavors conclude in a hugely powerful and decidedly robust, even chewy, finish that possesses seriously good length. This is still very much on the way up and while my suggested drinking window advises plenty of patience, I am not at all certain that 30 years will be sufficient for this massively tannic effort and particularly so in magnum format."
