"A blast of ripe and relatively high-toned white flower, spice and the barest trace of wood influence introduces rich, full, sweet and impressively detailed medium weight plus flavors that possess superb intensity on the palate staining finish. This is a good deal more minerally than it usually is and while it can't match the Chevalier in terms of sheer class, this is a wine of sophistication and harmony. While it could certainly be drunk now with pleasure, for my taste this can still benefit from another year or two in the cellar." (94 pts. Allen Meadows, Burghound #24, Oct. 2006)
